| Passive coolers for laser diodes are used for heat dissipation. The top surface and front edges of the coolers are diamond-milled to achieve optimum planarity for mounting the laser diode on the cooler. An outer nickel/gold layer allows for solder attachment of the diode bar without further processing to the cooler. |
