Any of us living in an industrialized country relies on products manufactured by Electrovac, on a daily basis. These products provide dependable access, economical use, and safety in electrical applications. Electricity has brought great progress to humanity and has provided more convenience and efficiency of energy use.

Industry relies primarily on electric power, and it is difficult to imagine present-day housework without electricity. Even in the realm of individual mobility, the quest for clean air has led to increased utilization of electrical engines.
Sustainable use of oil reserves is becoming increasingly important. Aside from the production of automotive fuels and domestic heating, oil resources are utilized for the production of polymers. Through application of Electrovac nanotechnology, composite materials may be reinforced to achieve enhanced mechanical stability with only half the amounts of polymer base materials.

Safety of humans in today’s technical world is of paramount importance in Electrovac’s products and processes. Products are applied in airbag igniters, in electronic steering and braking assistance systems, mechanical aircraft control systems, “long haul” telephone installations, technical control systems in community and facility applications, and in overheating protection in household appliances. The World Trade Center conflagration of 11 September 2001 that claimed the lives of thousands of people was the defining factor in Electrovac's decision to develop flame-retardant components for polymers by nanotechnology.

Beyond these achievements, Electrovac views itself as a pioneer of hydrogen economy. Electrovac technology enables hydrogen production from natural gas free of greenhouse emissions, as well as the safe long-term storage of hydrogen. Hydrogen sensors are available to alert for potential dangers. Through these developments, Electrovac contributes significantly to environmental protection and to sustainable use of natural resources.

On the economic plane, Electrovac has for decades pursued a strategy of reasonable balance regarding geographic location, technological orientation, and structuring of marketing activities. In terms of sales structure, care has been taken to achieve a healthy mix of revenue from production of own products, contract manufacturing, and license fees.

The recipe for Electrovac’s success is based on the Group’s innovative strength, enabled by excellence and the outstanding expertise of its staff. Thus, intellectual property is generated which propels Electrovac ever onward towards increasingly successful development partnerships with customers and enables unique selling propositions in the service of sustainability and an improved balance between people, technology, and environment.

Each individual staff member at Electrovac personally contributes to these achievements. A constantly ongoing learning process is required to successfully conduct the global dialogue with development partners from research at home or abroad, as well as with customers and suppliers from industry. Most of us view our work at Electrovac as a real vocation, to be able to contribute with our talents and means to the improvement, conservation, and sustainable safeguarding of human life. Can there be a more rewarding task?
