The temperature sensor and snap action switch mechanism of both, the thermostat as well as the SOD, are combined in a thermo-bimetal snap action disc, which guarantees exact momentary switching. Due to the optimal heat transfer between base plate and bimetal disc and the small mass of the system a very high thermal operating speed is achieved. All insulating components are made of ceramic material. The connection of voltage-carrying parts is realized by welding only to achieve best possible reliability.
