Electrovac offers a wide range of polymer-bonded, dust-free nanofiber masterbatches and compounds, based on carrier materials developed and optimized for polyolefins as well as for applications in technological thermoplasts. Conductivity carriers are carbon nanofibers (CNFs), which are a thousandfold smaller than regular carbon fibers. |

This material owes its excellent properties to its longitudinal geometrical appearance and its above-average ratios of length and diameter (L/D-ratio). For these reasons and its chemical properties, this nano filling material does not detach from the basic material and retains desired properties for years, which is of special significance for high-tech industries such as the electronics industry and the semiconductor industry. CNFs are utilized in fields where conventional additives fail or reach their limits.
Usually minimal amounts of ENF products are utilized in thermoplastic applications; depending on the type of application, the necessary surface conductivity, and mechanical properties of the final product, we recommend adding 4% to 8%. Further CNFs provide the polymers with higher temperature stability, better flow properties, and outstanding surface quality. Owing to the nucleating effect of these novel filler materials, costs of the entire working process are reduced through optimization of cycle times. ENF products offer uniform and precisely adjustable surface conductivity within the conductivity range ?from high conductivity of 103 Ohm/cm to anti-static 1011 Ohm/cm? in addition to outstanding improvement of mechanical and flame-retardant properties. |
